The Edo State government has made a disturbing discovery of a brothel operating within a primary school in the Esan West Local Government Area. According to Eugene Okolosie, the State Coordinator for the Protection of Government Property (PGP), the government was alerted by the community about land grabbers forging signatures and encroaching on government land.

Okolosie revealed that over 150,000 houses in the state were built on government lands, and the government has successfully recovered about 90% of the encroached land, including lands belonging to schools. The specific case of Ujuele Primary School was highlighted, where a brothel had been built inside the school premises. The government has taken swift action to seal the brothel and is currently discussing the matter with the governor.

This development is part of a larger effort by the Edo State government to protect government properties and lands from encroachment. Okolosie reported that over 2,000 plots of land have been recovered from land grabbers, and the government is working to convert these properties for their intended purposes. The government's actions demonstrate its commitment to safeguarding public assets and ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens, particularly children in schools.
