JUST IN 🔥🔥 FUGUS APPOINTS ACTING REGISTRAR.

The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) has appoint Hajiya Nafisa Barau Saleiman as the new acting Registrar, following approval by the pro-chancellor and chairman of the Governing council, Rt. Hon. Engr. Aminu Sani isa.

According to the appointment letter, the newly appointed acting registrar takes over from malam Yakubu Anivbassa, whose tenure as the second substantive registrar of the University ended on Tuesday 4th February 2025.

The appointment letter states : ''You are therefore to take over the affairs of the Registry dapartment from the outgoing Registrar, Mal. Yakubu Anivbassa, whose tenure ends today 4th February 2025."

Before the appointment, the acting Registrar served as the deputy Registrar in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, where she was responsible for overseeing administrative operations. From 2018-2021, she also held the position of the faculty of Humanities and Education, before the faculty was later split into two.

Additional, the Acting Registrar is a representative of the University Convocation in the current Governing council.

As she assumes her role, we wish her success in her endeavors and trust that her Leadership to propel the university forward.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike.
