The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is set to release the results of 379,000 candidates who took the rescheduled Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) due to technical and human errors that affected candidates in Lagos and the South-East states.

The errors led to mass failure, with over 1.5 million candidates scoring below 200 marks out of 400. JAMB's Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, admitted responsibility and announced a resit for the affected candidates.

The results of the rescheduled exam are expected to be released on Wednesday, according to JAMB's spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin. Meanwhile, the South-East Caucus in the House of Representatives has demanded the immediate resignation of the JAMB Registrar, citing "catastrophic institutional failure" and calling for a fresh examination to ensure fairness and credibility.
