Akintunde Sawyerr,the managing director of Nigerian Education Loan Fund(NELFUND) has revealed that it's may consider giving out loan scheme to students in private institutions within the next 3years.The managing director made this statement during a strategic engagement and sensitisation campaign with heads of institutions and other stakeholders in Enugu on Thursday.

The campaign was based on local dialects to make room for understanding and encourage people in the region to be a part of the programme .The managing director also said that all Nigerian students irrespective of institution ought to have access to financial support for their education .His statement pointed out that students drop out of school for a very little amount of money,so the loan will be effective in this aspect.

He also said that the two,three years loan scheme max will have a great on the generality of youth in Nigeria .But the challenges the fund has are the people being unsure,misunderstanding ,misinformation,thinking it's a waste of time and they thinking it's not for created for them.

Sawyerr also spoke to Dr,Chinyere Onyeisi the special adviser of Enugu state Governor on Education innovation who said there's a need for the loans in the educational system ,he also said NELFUND student support system is essential for students in southeast and Enugu specifically.
