The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin Ekiti, Prof. Gbenga Aribisala, has pledged to prioritize research and produce competent graduates who will be job creators and problem solvers. The university, established on February 20, 2025, will begin admitting students in September across four faculties.

Aribisala emphasized the institution's commitment to quality academic standards, ensuring that staff recruitment follows due process. He stated that the university will prioritize hiring competent staff who are passionate about research and academic excellence.

The four faculties that will commence in September are:

1. Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences
2. Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Sciences
3. Faculty of Computer and Information Technology

Aribisala highlighted the university's focus on research, ICT-driven education, transparency, and integrity. He assured that the institution will adhere to standard admission processes and regulations.

The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to the community, Senate Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, and the Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Adeola Ajakaye, for their support and donations that have facilitated the commencement of academic programs.
