In the northern region, states such as Gombe, Bauchi, and Kaduna may experience thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. The North-Central region is expected to have sunny skies with isolated thunderstorms in states like Kwara, Plateau, and Nasarawa.
The southern region will experience morning thunderstorms in states like Cross River, Lagos, and Bayelsa, with additional storms expected later in the day. Similar weather patterns are forecast for Monday and Tuesday, with thunderstorms likely in various parts of the country.
NiMet has advised the public to take necessary precautions during thunderstorms, including securing loose items, avoiding driving in heavy rain, and staying away from tall trees. Airline operators are also advised to consult NiMet for updated weather information to ensure safe flight operations.
