The Governing Council of Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke, has appointed Mr. Sefiu Adebowale Adewumi as the Acting Rector of the institution. The appointment was announced by the Council Chairman, Prince Diran Odeyemi, following the retirement of the outgoing Rector, Dr. Samson Adegoke, who reached the retirement age of 65 years.

According to Odeyemi, Adewumi is a seasoned administrator with vast experience in manpower and resources management. He has served the polytechnic in various capacities, including Deputy Rector, and is expected to lead the institution in pursuing legacies of excellence in innovation.

The Council Chairman described Adewumi as a seasoned scholar and administrator par excellence, who has the relevant experience in modern-day management of manpower and material resources to attain organizational goals in a competitive academic environment.

Adewumi's appointment as Acting Rector is until further direction is given, and the Council has expressed confidence in his ability to lead the institution.
