At the releasing of Oyo State’s 2022/2023 Yearly Schools Census Records, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Olusegun Olayiwola (represented by Mr. Lukman Kareem), emphasized the state’s strong commitment to accurate data collection as a foundation for effective decision-making in the education sector.

He highlighted the need to preserve the report for future reference and urged relevant departments to hasten the release of outstanding reports for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic years.

The Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Bamidele Oyinloye (represented by Mrs. Olayinka Akanji), commended the ministry’s effort and stressed the importance of verifiable data in attracting development partners and NGOs for educational support.

She also called for stronger collaboration with private school owners, acknowledging their crucial role in education delivery across the state. In response, leaders from private school associations pledged continued cooperation to help improve education standards in Oyo State.
