ASUU Reacts to NELFUND Allegations

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has expressed that the allegations of fraudulent practices surrounding the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) do not come as a surprise. According to ASUU President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, the union had reservations about the scheme from its inception.

- ASUU believed the students' loan scheme would be prone to corruption, given the history of similar schemes in Nigeria.
