Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) has been ranked the best university in Nigeria for the fourth consecutive year and 84th globally by the Times Higher Education Ranking. The university also excelled in various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ranking 1st in Africa in Affordable & Clean Energy and Climate Change.
The Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Olasupo Ijabadeniyi, attributed the achievement to the cooperation of regulatory bodies, parents, and staff commitment. He noted that ABUAD has made significant impacts in the nation's education sector through cutting-edge research, innovation, and quality graduates.
Ijabadeniyi stated that the founder's vision of ranking among the top 100 universities globally has been achieved. He quoted the founder's interaction with the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, highlighting the fulfillment of his dream.

However, Ijabadeniyi called on the federal and state governments to reconstruct the deplorable Ado-Ijan road, which has become a nightmare for motorists. He appealed for support, citing the founder's previous interventions and the need for improved accessibility to enhance the university's growth and attractiveness.
ABUAD's ranking is a testament to its commitment to academic excellence. The university's leadership looks forward to continued growth and recognition, while also seeking government support for infrastructure development.
