The Vice Chancellor of Delta State University DELSU, Professor Samuel Asagba, has announced the immediate suspension of academic activities due to the recent surge in kidnappings in the Abraka area of Delta State. The suspension will remain in effect until normalcy is restored and the safety of staff and students can be guaranteed.

The decision follows an emergency security meeting convened by the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, which is scheduled to hold today. The university management has directed all students to remain indoors until further notice.
