The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB has recommended disciplinary measures against 11 Computer-Based Test CBT centers and multiple candidates involved in biometric fraud during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination UTME registration.
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, announced that candidates linked to over 50 biometric infractions will face a three-year ban from JAMB, WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB activities. Those involved in fewer than 50 irregularities will receive a warning and must submit a written apology.
Implicated CBT centers must sign a bond of ethical compliance and provide evidence of staff training by a federal university. The Board will only re-engage with these centers upon meeting these requirements.
Oloyede emphasized JAMB's commitment to protecting examination integrity, vowing strict enforcement against malpractice. The Board will not tolerate excuses from defaulting centers, and those affiliated with government institutions may face additional disciplinary measures.
