The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has announced a N2 billion intervention package for Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) in Abeokuta. The intervention will focus on modern infrastructural development and road network within the institution.

The projects to be undertaken include the construction of a 5,000-seater ultra-modern lecture theatre, road leading to the auditorium, department of accountancy building, new SBMS block, and a modern library.
The Governor also rewarded the best graduating students from 2016 to 2024 with N2.5 million each and presented a new bus to the institution to commemorate the combined convocation.

The Rector of MAPOLY, Dr. Babatunde Jolaoso, noted that the institution has faced challenges in recent years, including prolonged legal disputes over land ownership. He urged the state government to support efforts to resolve these disputes and facilitate developmental projects.
The convocation guest lecturer, Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, highlighted the current administration's new approach to Nigeria's foreign policy agenda, emphasizing the importance of leveraging the Nigerian diaspora in enhancing bilateral relationships between Nigeria and their host countries.
