The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced that all approved schools must upload and verify their students' information on the new Student Loan Application System (SLAS). This is a critical step in ensuring timely processing and disbursement of student loans.
Schools are required to request access to the platform by sending an email to registration@nelf.gov.ng. Once access is granted, institutions can log in to a real-time dashboard to view student applications, confirm details, and track loan progress.

NELFUND urges schools to take immediate action, as verification and data upload are mandatory steps before final approval and disbursement. Students with a "Verified" loan status are reminded that their application still requires final approval, which will happen after their school uploads their information.
NELFUND explains that a "Verified" status indicates successful initial checks, but final approval and disbursement are subject to confirmation and upload of student data by the institution. Once completed, the status will be updated to "Disbursed" when payment is processed.
