The Niger State Government has directed the immediate closure of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai, due to recent security breaches and loss of lives within the university community. The directive was announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Usman, on behalf of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago.
