The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), Nigeria's first petroleum university, has begin the sales of its pre-degree and JUPEB admission forms for the 2025/2026 academic session. Located in Ugbomro, Delta State, FUPRE offers highly sought-after courses in the oil and gas sector.

Available Programs: 👇

✓ Pre-Degree/Basic Program: A one-year intensive program preparing candidates for admission into 100-level degree programs through JAMB.

✓ Foundation/JUPEB Program: A one-year program preparing candidates for admission into 200-level degree programs at FUPRE or other JUPEB-affiliated universities.

Admission Requirements:👇

✓ Five O'Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language (awaiting results considered).

✓ Written qualifying examination for eligible candidates.
   
✓ Non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦25,000.

Foundation/JUPEB Program:

✓ Five O'Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language (no awaiting results).

✓ Written qualifying examination for eligible candidates.

✓ Non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦50,000.

✓ Pre-degree program: ₦10,000 (non-refundable).

✓ JUPEB program: ₦15,000 (non-refundable).

✓ Closing Date: August 31, 2025 (12:00 am).

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law.
