As part of its efforts to revitalize public education, the Lagos State government, under the leadership of Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reopened its job portal to recruit teachers. The available positions include Education Officer II (Grade Level 8) and Higher Instructor (Grade Level 8).

To be eligible for the Education Officer II role, applicants must possess a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) or a relevant degree such as B.Ed, (https://tescomjobs.lagosstate.gov.ng/) Ed, or B.A Ed in various fields, including Arts, Sciences, and Social Sciences. Other acceptable qualifications include B.A, (link unavailable), PGDE, B.Eng, B.Tech, HND, or TTC. A Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is an added advantage.

The Higher Instructor position requires similar qualifications, including NCE, relevant degrees, or HND/ TTC, with a PGDE being an added advantage.

2. Searching for job openings
3. Filling out the required forms
4. Selecting their preferred subject
5. Clicking the apply button
6. Printing the confirmation slip

Applications must be submitted on or before Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
The Lagos State government aims to fill the gaps in its basic and secondary education system by recruiting a significant number of teachers.
