The Lagos State University (LASU) has taken disciplinary action against two of its lecturers due to serious misconduct. Following an investigation and subsequent approval by the LASU Governing Council, the lecturers were found guilty of various offenses, including inhumane treatment of students, sexual harassment, and financial impropriety.
One lecturer, Dr. Olatunji Abanikanda, was accused of subjecting students to harsh conditions during practical farm work, sexual harassment, and unauthorized collection of funds. The other lecturer, Dr. Khadeejah Kareem-Ibraheem, faced allegations of failing to adhere to university guidelines and misappropriating funds from the sale of farm produce.
