The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted recognition to the Ebonyi State University of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering, located at Ezza, Ebonyi State, as the 69th state university and 300th university in Nigeria.

Key Highlights: 🔑

👉 New University: The Ebonyi State University of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering is the third state university in Ebonyi State, joining Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, and Ebonyi State University of ICT, Science, and Technology, Oferekpe Agbaja.

👉 Recognition: NUC Executive Secretary, Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, presented the provisional license to a delegation from the state led by Deputy Governor Patricia Obila.

👉 Focus: The university will focus on aeronautics and aerospace engineering, aiming to provide solutions to aviation challenges in Nigeria and train manpower for the aviation sector.

NUC's Expectations: ✔️

👉 Adherence to Guidelines: NUC stressed the importance of adhering to established guidelines for university operations in Nigeria.

👉 Proper Guidance: The commission offered to provide guidance to avoid sanctions.

State Government's Commitment: ✔️

👉 Adequate Preparations: The state government assured that adequate preparations have been made in terms of funding, mentorship, administration, and infrastructure.

👉 Smooth Takeoff: The government is committed to ensuring a smooth takeoff and running of the university.
