The Oyo State Government, in partnership with Pacesetter Transport Services and the Alumni Association of Ajayi Crowther University, has introduced a subsidized return transport scheme for students traveling from Oyo to major destinations. This initiative aims to improve student welfare and mobility, demonstrating the positive impact of alumni engagement and government collaboration.

The subsidized transport program will provide affordable transportation services for students returning home, with designated drop-off points at Moniya Train Station in Ibadan, Oshodi Terminal, and Ojota Terminal in Lagos. This development is a fulfillment of the promises made by the Alumni Association to attract opportunities and partnerships that benefit the university community.

The Global Alumni President, Hon. Busoye Ogunlade, commended the initiative, stating that it reflects the Alumni Association's commitment to supporting the institution and its students. He expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his consistent support of educational institutions in the state and to Dr. Oladeji Dikko Salami, Chairman of Pacesetter Transport Services, for facilitating this collaboration.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law.
