The University of Ilorin (Unilorin) is set to honor 65 eminent Nigerians, including distinguished alumni, as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations. The Investiture Ceremony of Unilorin Ambassadors, Distinguished Alumni, and Award of Excellence will take place on Wednesday at the university auditorium.

Honorees: 🏆

✓ Professor Emeritus Is’haq Olanrewaju Oloyede: 8th Vice Chancellor of Unilorin and Registrar of JAMB.

✓ Dr Tunji Olowolafe: Renowned academic and professional.

✓ Professor Temidayo Oladiji: Vice Chancellor of FUTA.

✓ Mr Babatunde Omotowa: Former Managing Director of Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd.

✓ Dr AWA Ibrahim: Prominent accountant.

✓ Dr Sarah Omotunde Alade: Former CBN Deputy Governor.

✓ Mrs Kemi Nanna Nandap: Comptroller-General of Nigeria Immigration Services.

✓ Mr. Eniola Bello: Managing Director of Thisday Newspapers.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law.
