The registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates, scheduled for the second series of 2025, has begun. Interested candidates are informed that the registration process is now open and can be completed online via the official website, www.waeconline.org.ng after obtaining a registration PIN.


👉 Registration Period: Started on June 9, 2025, and the deadline for PIN generation is August 22, 2025. Candidates are advised to complete their biometric capture and online registration by August 24, 2025.

👉 Registration Fee: The fee for the examination is N27,000, payable to various accredited banks or agents, with an additional N500 commission.

Candidates can pay the registration fee at any branch of the listed banks or through cashless payment channels. After payment, candidates will receive a Registration PIN necessary for completing the online registration. The process includes capturing biometric data for validation purposes during the examination.

👉 Walk-in Candidates: Candidates who miss the registration deadline can register as "Walk-in Candidates" at least 24 hours before their scheduled exam time, at a fee of N45,000.

👉 Candidates with Special Needs: These candidates register online like others but must specify their impairments.

👉 Candidates should finalize their registration within two weeks of accessing the website and ensure all details, including names, gender, photographs, and subjects, are accurate.

👉 Upon successful registration, candidates can print their Admission Notice, which serves as identification during the examination and includes the Result Checker PIN.
