Babcock University is set to unveils a vibrant and rewarding 2025/2026 academic session, running from August 2025 to August 2026. The year promises a rich blend of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and celebratory events for students and staff alike, featuring two semesters, a summer school program, and numerous special activities.

The academic year will begin with online registration in August for students from 200 to 600 level, giving them ample preparation time before returning to campus. Faculty workshops, departmental meetings, and training for newly recruited staff will also take place in August. By early September, returning students will arrive on campus, with classes commencing on September 8. Post-SIWES semester students will resume in mid-September, coinciding with the university’s Founder’s Day celebration on September 17.

October will spotlight new students, beginning with Independence Day on October 1. Freshmen and Direct Entry students will arrive for verification and orientation on October 14, alongside the Youth Week of Prayer. Their classes will start on October 27, aligning with mid-semester exams for higher-level students. Registration for the semester will officially close on November 21.

December will see first semester examinations for returning students (December 4–18), a short break for new students on December 16, and a Christmas/New Year holiday from December 23 to January 6.

The second semester begins in January 2026, with staff resuming on January 7 and returning students starting classes on January 15. New students will conclude their first semester in early March before starting their second semester on March 9. March will also feature the Career & Job Fair Week for graduating students and the Research Fair.

April will bring academic board meetings and second semester exams for higher-level students. May will focus on mid-semester exams for lower-level students, while Summer School runs from May 27 to July, with mid-summer exams in late June.

The pinnacle of the academic year will be Convocation Week in July, starting with a Parents’ Consultative Forum Luncheon and culminating in the Convocation Ceremony on July 26. Events will include alumni networking, a graduation dinner, tree planting, spiritual consecration services, and the baccalaureate.

The year will close with Post-SIWES examinations in August, alongside other key events such as the Week of Spiritual Emphasis in February, NAAS Week, public holidays, inaugural lectures, matriculation, Easter and Muslim holidays, and professional induction ceremonies for Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Science.
