Edo State University Iyamho is pleased to announce that the Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session will hold from Tuesday 2nd to Thursday 4th September 2025 at the university’s Main Campus in Iyamho. Screening begins daily at 9:00 AM.

This is a prime opportunity for candidates who have taken the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and aspire to join the institution to demonstrate their readiness for admission.

About the Post-UTME

The Post-UTME is a mandatory screening exercise conducted by Nigerian universities to select qualified candidates after the UTME. It ensures that:

The best candidates are admitted into each programme.

Students possess the requisite knowledge for their chosen courses.

Admission numbers are matched with available capacity.

Cut-off Marks for 2025/2026 Admissions

Medicine and Surgery: 210+

Nursing: 170+

Law: 180+

All Other Programmes: 150+

Candidates who score below the required cut-off for their chosen course may consider applying for programmes with lower requirements.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

1. Have sat for the 2025 UTME.

2. Meet the cut-off mark for their selected programme.

3. Possess the required O’level credits (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).

4. Have Edo State University Iyamho as their first choice institution, or be willing to make it their first choice.

Candidates can apply online via the university’s official website:

1. Visit the admission page and select “Post-UTME Application” or “2025/2026 Admission.”

2. Create an account using a valid email, phone number, and JAMB details.

3. Complete the application form and upload required documents (O’level results, UTME slip, passport photograph).

4. Pay the screening fee as directed online.

5. Submit the application and print the confirmation slip.

Screening Requirements

On the screening day, candidates must present:

Post-UTME application slip.

Original and photocopies of JAMB result slip.

O’level results.

Valid identification (school ID, national ID, etc.).

Writing materials and a recent passport photograph.
