The Federal Ministry of Education has announced that a technical issue affecting the 2025 West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations results has been resolved. The issue arose during post-examination processing in certain subjects where paper serialization was used as a security measure.

The Ministry commended the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for its prompt response, transparency, and professionalism in addressing the problem. Updated results will be available on the result checker portal within the next 24 hours.

The Ministry also expressed appreciation to affected candidates for their patience and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring fairness and credibility in assessment processes.

                        1 minutes read ⏱️ 9:45pm The Imo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of several officials of the Academic Staff Union of Universities [ASUU], Imo State University [IMSU] Chapter, in connection with the ongoing strike action by the union. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law. ASUU-IMSU had embarked on strike to press home demands including payment of arrears, improved funding, and implementation of agreements with the state government.
