The management of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, wishes to inform staff, students, members of the University community, and the general public—particularly candidates who applied for the 2025/2026 admissions—that all candidates shall be screened strictly online using their JAMB and O’Level results.

This means that there will be no Post-UTME examination, as popularly known in previous years.

The clarification has become necessary in light of reports of undue pressure on unsuspecting candidates by certain criminal elements falsely posing as University staff or agents.

For the avoidance of doubt, admission into DELSU is absolutely free of charge and strictly on merit. Candidates are strongly advised not to engage with individuals or groups claiming to offer admission assistance for a fee.

                        1 minutes read ⏱️ 9:45pm The Imo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of several officials of the Academic Staff Union of Universities [ASUU], Imo State University [IMSU] Chapter, in connection with the ongoing strike action by the union. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law.
