LASU Announces Admission into B.Sc. Business Administration Programme at ODLRI for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Lagos State University (LASU) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the B.Sc. Business Administration programme of the Open and Distance Learning & Research Institute (ODLRI) for the 2024/2025 Academic Session.

The Institute was established by the Senate and Council of LASU and duly approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to provide access to higher education for individuals who, due to time constraints or limited spaces in conventional universities, were unable to pursue their academic goals. With a unique emphasis on research, ODLRI is committed to producing globally competitive graduates equipped with 21st-century skills to drive socio-economic development.

Programme Offered

B.Sc. Business Administration

Entry Requirements
Applicants must possess WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O’ Level) or equivalent qualifications with credits in five (5) subjects at not more than two sittings. These must include English Language, Mathematics, and any three (3) relevant subjects from Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Government, Geography, or Business Studies.

Eligible Applicants

Adults unable to gain admission through conventional systems

Working-class individuals seeking a university degree

Persons interested in acquiring entrepreneurial and business skills


Additional Information

Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of entry.

The programme runs for four (4) years, similar to conventional undergraduate programmes.

Teaching and learning will be delivered through blended learning with emphasis on ICT proficiency.

Admission is strictly subject to availability of space.

Candidates awaiting results are not eligible to apply.

Only original certificates (not result slips) are acceptable for results obtained before 2010.

Application deadline: Tuesday, 30th November 2025.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law.
