The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is pleased to announce that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted official approval for the reintroduction of management degree courses. This approval follows a recent successful Resource Assessment Visit by the NUC to examine the proposed courses.
The approved programs include:
Undergraduate Programs:
👉Accounting
👉Banking and Finance
👉Business Administration
👉Economics
Postgraduate Program:
👉 Agroecology
This development marks a significant milestone in FUNAAB's academic growth, as these programs are returning after being delisted in the 2017/2018 Academic Session due to a Federal Government directive restricting management sciences in agricultural universities.
The university had previously offered management courses from 2017 until 2018 when the former Minister of Education urged specialized universities to focus on their core mandate. The Students' Union Government had also appealed for the reinstatement of management science courses, citing the importance of these programs in making agricultural courses more competitive and appealing.
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is a specialized university that aims to promote academic excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurship in agriculture and related fields. With this approval, FUNAAB continues to expand its academic offerings and provide students with a wide range of programs to choose from.
