The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has responded to public concerns regarding the case of Miss Kareem Kaamilah Omolarami, an underage candidate who scored 371 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

JAMB reaffirms commitment to transparency, fairness, and due process in admission activities.

The Board uses a Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) to standardize and automate admissions.Underage candidates undergo a rigorous four-stage screening process.

Miss Kareem Kaamilah Omolarami successfully passed the first two stages but was reported absent during the university's internal screening exercise.

The Nile University of Nigeria officially transmitted the report to JAMB, rendering her ineligible for the final screening exercise.

The Board is statutorily empowered to regulate and approve admissions but relies on verified information from institutions.

JAMB will proceed to release results of 84 successful underage candidates to their respective institutions.

Candidates are advised to exhaust internal communication channels for resolving complaints before approaching the media.
