The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has announced the adoption of the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) for teaching, learning, and easy access to academic resources.

According to the University, Blackboard LMS is an online learning platform designed to enhance students’ learning experience. Through the platform, students can access lecture notes and course materials, submit assignments, take quizzes or tests, communicate with lecturers and classmates, and participate in various online learning activities.

To ensure a smooth transition to the new system, all students are required to complete a mandatory Student Orientation Course on the Blackboard LMS. This orientation course is aimed at familiarizing students with the platform and guiding them on how to use it effectively.

Steps for Self-Enrollment:

1. Visit the Blackboard LMS portal via https://unizik-blackboard.teras.ng
2. Log in using your student credentials (Username: UNIZIK email address; Password: P@sswOrd@Unizik).
3. Click on the Courses tab.
4. Select Course Catalog at the top-right corner.
5. Enter StudentOrientation-181 in the search bar.
6. From the search results, click the drop-down arrow next to the course name.
7. Select Enroll and click Submit to confirm.

The University emphasized that completion of the orientation course is compulsory, as access to starter kits and other learning resources will only be granted after successfully completing the Orientation Quiz/Test attached to the course.

Students are strongly encouraged to enroll and complete the orientation course without delay to ensure full access to their courses, materials, and other resources on the Blackboard LMS.
