The management wishes to inform all Study Centre Directors that the 29th Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/26 Academic Semester has been scheduled to hold on Thursday, October 16, 2025, across all study centres of the University.

Please note that the ceremony will be conducted virtually and the official weblink and time for participation by all study centres and matriculating students will be communicated in due course.

In preparation for the event, all Study Centre Directors are kindly requested to organize an orientation programme for newly admitted students on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

This information is for attention and necessary compliance.

                        1 minutes read ⏱️ 9:45pm The Imo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of several officials of the Academic Staff Union of Universities [ASUU], Imo State University [IMSU] Chapter, in connection with the ongoing strike action by the union. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law. ASUU-IMSU had embarked on strike to press home demands including payment of arrears, improved funding, and implementation of agreements with the state government.
