West Africa Oil and Gas Development Company has opened applications for its 2026 Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme, targeting Nigerian students in approved federal and state universities.

The scholarship is part of the company's commitment to advancing education and human capital development in Nigeria. Successful applicants will receive an annual award of ₦250,000, renewable based on academic performance, and a laptop to support their studies.

Eligibility Criteria: 

👉🏻Nigerian citizens residing in Nigeria

👉🏻Fully enrolled in an undergraduate programme at an approved federal or state university in Nigeria

Benefits:

👉🏻₦250,000 annual award

👉🏻 Laptop for academic use

Required Documents: 📃 

🤏🏼 Completed application form

🤏🏼Recent passport photograph (white background)

🤏🏼O-Level and UTME results

🤏🏼University and JAMB admission letters

🤏🏼Student ID card

🤏🏼Birth certificate (NPC issued)

🤏🏼 LGA identification letter.

🤏🏼 National Identification Number (NIN) slip

*Application Procedure:*

Apply online via the scholarship portal using a valid email address. Fill in all required fields, upload a recent passport photograph and valid ID, and submit documents as instructed.

🚨 Deadline:
The application window closes on December 23, 2025.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law.
