The Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia (FUASK), has officially matriculated 1,909 pioneer students, marking a significant milestone in the institution's journey to become a hub for applied sciences and innovation.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Williams Barnabas Qurix highlighted the university's vision to be globally recognized in knowledge, skills, and innovation. FUASK's curriculum is designed to bridge theory and practice, with industry partnerships, modern labs, and entrepreneurship training.

The institution aims to produce self-reliant graduates with entrepreneurial and innovative skills, contributing to Nigeria's socio-economic development. FUASK is among the new federal universities established to expand access to higher education in underserved regions.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law.
