The Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) has matriculated 11,327 new students, marking a significant milestone in the institution's pursuit of academic excellence.

During the matriculation ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adebayo Adefemi, urged the new students to build a strong foundation for success, emphasizing the importance of hard work, discipline, and dedication.

"As you embark on this academic journey, I encourage you to seize every opportunity to learn, grow, and develop your skills," Prof. Adefemi said.

The matriculation ceremony is a significant event in the academic calendar of FUOYE, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the students.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law.
