Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) is poised to confer degrees on 863 outstanding students at its 16th convocation ceremony, underscoring its commitment to academic excellence and impactful service. Of the graduates, 722 are undergraduates, with 57 achieving first-class honours, according to Vice Chancellor, Professor Olasebikan Fakolujo.

Addressing ™ Hølå INFO, Professor Fakolujo highlighted JABU's unique approach to success, blending academic rigour with community engagement and entrepreneurship. "We measure success not just by academic achievements, but by the villages our students have served, startups launched, and lives touched," he said.

Notable among the graduates are three law students - Amedu Martha, Adio Janet, and Adeyeye Adeife - who earned first-class honours at the Nigerian Law School. Adio Janet excelled as the 3rd best in criminal litigation and best female student nationwide. Medical Laboratory Science students achieved a 100% pass rate in professional exams, while 87% of nursing graduates serve in Nigerian healthcare facilities, including rural areas.

"JABU is reversing Nigeria's brain drain by creating opportunities that make staying worthwhile," Fakolujo stated. Graduates are not just securing jobs but launching startups and employing others.

In recognition of excellence, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu awarded N5 million to Mary Amachi, last year's best female Mass Communication student with a 4.88 CGPA.
