The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced plans to deploy 1,039 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) across Nigeria.

Registrar, Professor Is'haq Oloyede, stated that 52 accreditation teams have been constituted to inspect centres, ensuring they meet required benchmarks. The exercise aims to maintain examination standards and safeguard the integrity of the UTME.

JAMB has strengthened its monitoring mechanisms, working with the Corporate Affairs Commission to track directors of sanctioned centres and flagging individuals involved in examination malpractice.

The Board has introduced measures to permanently blacklist computer systems used in delisted centres and will not hesitate to disqualify centres engaging sanctioned personnel.
