The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Examinations Board (LSEB), has announced the commencement of the 2026 electronic registration and payment process for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for both public and private junior secondary schools across the state.

The e-registration exercise, which will run from January 26 to March 27, 2026, aims to provide a seamless, technology-driven registration process that eliminates physical contact between school owners and the board, while enhancing transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the conduct of the examination.

Registration Process and Fees👇🏻

- Public junior secondary schools are required to download the Offline Data Capturing Application.

- Approved private junior secondary schools, schools with special permission, and continuing education centres must access the board's portal to complete payment and registration.

- Registration fees are as follows:👇🏻

    - Approved private junior secondary schools and public continuing education centres: ₦10,000 per candidate.

    - Junior secondary schools operating with special permission and private continuing education centres: ₦15,000 per candidate.

Important Notes👇🏻

- Schools are required to use the newly issued School Code for the registration process.

- Late registration may attract penalties.

- Schools presenting candidates with special needs, including visual impairments or albinism, should notify the board in advance to allow for adequate preparations.
