Delta State University (DELSU) officially ushered in the 2025/2026 academic session today with its annual matriculation ceremony, formally admitting a total of 9,498 new students across its various faculties and campuses.

The ceremony, marked by academic procession and the administration of the matriculation oath, signifies the formal integration of the freshers into the university’s scholarly community.
Commitment to Excellence and Discipline
In his keynote address, the Vice Chancellor congratulated the new entrants on securing admission into the competitive institution.

He emphasized that while the university provides a robust environment for academic and personal growth, students must remain focused on their primary goal:excellence.

The Vice Chancellor issued a stern warning regarding campus conduct, specifically addressing the university's "zero-tolerance" policy toward misconduct.
