Federal University Dutse (FUD) plans to implement the 26 newly approved programs, including AI and Data Science, by leveraging its existing infrastructure and expertise. The university has already taken steps to establish a strong foundation in emerging fields, as evident from the commissioning of its Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory in February 2025.

The implementation plans include:👇🏻

☝🏻Curriculum Development: FUD will develop and finalize curricula for the new programs, aligning with national and international standards.

☝🏻Faculty Recruitment: The university will recruit qualified faculty members to teach and supervise students in the new programs.

☝🏻Infrastructure Development: FUD will upgrade its infrastructure, including laboratories and equipment, to support the new programs.

☝🏻Research and Collaboration: The university aims to foster research collaborations with industry partners and other institutions to enhance the quality of education and research.

The introduction of 26 new academic programs, including AI and Data Science, is expected to significantly boost Federal University Dutse's (FUD) growth. These programs will increase access to quality tertiary education in Northern Nigeria, provide specialized programs aligning with national development goals, and strengthen research capacity through expanded Ph.D programs.

The new programs will also enhance FUD's reputation as a hub for innovation and professional training, attracting students and faculty from across the country. With NUC accreditation, these programs guarantee quality standards, making graduates more employable and eligible for professional registration.

☝🏻Undergraduate Programs: Industrial Chemistry, Food Science
