The Federal Government has officially commenced the implementation of the 40% salary increment for the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). In a directive issued to relevant agencies and university governing councils, the government has ordered immediate nationwide compliance to ensure all eligible academic staff receive the adjusted compensation.

This move marks a significant milestone in the government’s commitment to resolving long-standing industrial concerns within the tertiary education sector. By prioritizing the fulfillment of this pay deal, the administration aims to:👇🏻

🤟Boost Staff Morale: Recognizing the dedication of academic professionals and providing competitive remuneration.

The Ministry of Education and the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation have been tasked with ensuring that the disbursement process is seamless and reflects the agreed-upon terms. This implementation is expected to have an immediate positive impact on the welfare of lecturers across all federal universities.
