The police in the Federal Capital Territory have arrested Goodluck Monday, a 400-level private and property law student of the University of Abuja, over the alleged rape of a 21-year-old 100-level student. The Student Union Government (SUG) of the University of Abuja has confirmed the arrest, assuring students that justice will be pursued.

The alleged incident has sparked widespread concern among the university community, with the SUG president, Comrade Yusuf Tobi Jamiu, urging students to remain calm and allow the authorities to conduct a proper investigation.

The police are yet to release further details on the incident, but the SUG has assured that it will provide updates as more information becomes available.
