AE-FUNAI CONFERS DEGREES ON 42 MEDICAL STUDENTS.

The Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) in Ebonyi State has marked a significant milestone with the induction of 42 pioneer medical graduates into the medical profession. The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) conducted the induction and oath-taking ceremony at the Professor Paul Ezeonu Auditorium of the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki.

Vice-Chancellor Daniel C. Nwachukwu described the event as a historic achievement, highlighting the university's commitment to quality medical education. The medical programme, which received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) and MDCN, initially had 50 students admitted in 2017/2018, with 42 successfully completing the requirements.

Provost Paul Ezeonu noted that the college's establishment began in 2013, while Deans O. U. J. Umeora and A. M. Efunshile urged the graduates to practice with compassion, integrity, and dedication, upholding ethical standards.

Chief Medical Director Robinson Onoh congratulated the university and encouraged the graduates to serve humanity with dedication. The induction marks the beginning of their professional medical practice in Nigeria's healthcare system.
