The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has admitted to technical glitches that disrupted the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, promising a comprehensive review to address the lapses.

The examination, which was conducted on Saturday, was marred by technical issues, leaving thousands of candidates stranded at various examination centers. JAMB's Registrar, Is-haq Oloyede, offered an apology on behalf of the board, acknowledging that the glitches were unacceptable.

The board has assured candidates that a review of the examination process is underway to prevent similar issues in the future. The mock examination was meant to familiarize candidates with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment and prepare them for the actual UTME.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike.
