The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted approval to Newgate University, Minna, to begin 14 postgraduate programmes. This follows the institution's successful completion of a resource verification exercise.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Sadiq Yusuf announced this during a press briefing, describing the approval as a major step forward for the university. The approved programmes include Postgraduate Diplomas, Master's, Professional Master's, and Doctoral degrees in fields such as Management, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Public Health, and International Relations.

The programmes are expected to strengthen research activities and support the training of skilled professionals and scholars contributing to national development. Newgate University currently runs 16 undergraduate programmes and has grown its student population from 300 to over 2,000 within four years.

👊🏻Postgraduate Diplomas in Management, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, and Public Health.

👊🏻Master of Science degrees in Computing, Cyber Security, Accounting, Public Health, and International Relations.

👊🏻Doctoral programmes in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Public Health, Accounting, Management Studies, and International Relations.

👊🏻Professional postgraduate degrees in Business Administration, Strategic Studies, Development Studies, International Affairs, and Diplomacy.
