BOOM🔥🔥OYSCATECH INDUCTED 1,996 ND AND HND STUDENTS FOR THE 2025/2026 SESSION.

Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH) has welcomed 1,996 new students into its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs for the 2025/2026 academic session. The matriculation ceremony, which was the 17th of its kind, saw 1,661 students admitted into Full-Time and Part-Time ND programs, while 607 students were admitted into Full-Time and Part-Time HND programs.

Addressing the new students, Rector Professor Akinola Akinlabi emphasized the institution's commitment to practical, entrepreneurship training, research, and community services. He also announced that OYSCATECH has secured accreditation for 25 programs from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), with 24 programs gaining full accreditation for five years.

The college has also received TETFund intervention for 2025 and has collaborated with institutions like Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) and the National Agricultural Land and Development Agency (NALDA).

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law.
