The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Teaching Hospital is calling on stakeholders to support its vision for medical research, training, and improved healthcare delivery. The hospital, which was recently established by President Bola Tinubu, aims to provide quality medical care, advance medical research, and train the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Olusegun Ojo, emphasized the importance of stakeholder support in achieving the hospital's goals. He noted that the hospital's establishment is a significant milestone in strengthening healthcare delivery and medical education in the South-West region.

The hospital's vision includes providing advanced medical care, promoting research and innovation, and collaborating with local and international partners to enhance healthcare services. With the support of stakeholders, FUTA Teaching Hospital is poised to become a leading center for medical excellence in Nigeria.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law.
