President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has approved a series of new appointments and tenure renewals across strategic agencies in the Federal Ministry of Education as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership and enhance service delivery in the education sector.
The approved appointments include the designation of new Chairmen for the Governing Boards of the National Examinations Council (NECO) and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). The President also named a substantive Rector for a Federal Polytechnic and approved the renewal of the tenure of the Director-General of the National Library of Nigeria.
According to a statement from the Presidency, the appointments take immediate effect and are aimed at repositioning the affected agencies for improved performance, policy implementation, and alignment with the administration’s _Renewed Hope Agenda_ for education.
The Presidency noted that the appointees were selected based on their proven track records, professional competence, and commitment to national development. They are expected to bring renewed vigour to their respective institutions in line with global best practices.
President Tinubu congratulated the new appointees and charged them to discharge their duties with integrity, innovation, and dedication to the advancement of Nigeria’s education sector.
