Nasarawa State University, Keffi, will hold its 8th combined convocation ceremony on April 11, 2026, marking the institution's 25th anniversary. Over 25,000 graduates from the 2022/2023, 2023/2024, and 2024/2025 academic sessions will receive degrees, including 82 first-class honours recipients.

Three honorary doctorate degrees will be conferred on:👇🏻

🫴🏼President of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan.

🫴🏼Founder and Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu.

🫴🏼Dr. Mahmood Ahmad.

The awards recognise outstanding contributions to society and humanity. The convocation week features various activities, including:👇🏻

🫴🏼Interdenominational church service.

🫴🏼Special Juma’at prayers.

🫴🏼Sanitation exercise.

🫴🏼Medical outreach programme.

🫴🏼Novelty football match.

🫴🏼Commissioning of newly completed university projects.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sa’adatu Liman, thanked staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders for their contributions to the university's growth.

                        1 minutes read ⏱️ 9:45pm The Imo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of several officials of the Academic Staff Union of Universities [ASUU], Imo State University [IMSU] Chapter, in connection with the ongoing strike action by the union. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests were made following allegations of disruption of public peace and unlawful assembly during protests related to the strike. The Commissioner of Police stated that the command is committed to maintaining law and order and will ensure that all parties operate within the confines of the law. ASUU-IMSU had embarked on strike to press home demands including payment of arrears, improved funding, and implementation of agreements with the state government.
