The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at the University of Jos (UNIJOS) has announced an indefinite strike effective immediately, citing non-payment of the March 2026 salary. The union's chairman, Prof. Jurbe Molwus, confirmed the action, stating that the decision was made in line with ASUU's national executive council resolution.

The strike is expected to disrupt academic activities, including lectures and examinations, leaving students and staff uncertain about the future of the academic calendar. The union is demanding payment of the outstanding salary and resolution of other welfare issues.
