The Nigerian Education Loan Fund [NELFUND] has described as false and misleading reports circulating online claiming that the payment of student upkeep allowances under the Federal Government’s student loan scheme has been suspended.

In an official statement, NELFUND clarified that upkeep allowances are being processed and disbursed to eligible students in line with the operational guidelines of the scheme. The Fund urged students, parents, and the public to disregard the misinformation and rely only on verified updates released through NELFUND’s official channels.

NELFUND reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring seamless and transparent administration of student loans and allowances to support access to tertiary education across Nigeria.
